MUMBAI, Oct 7: Personnel Search Service held Matunga Young Boys 1-1, after a goalless first-half, in the MDFA-conducted Division II-B football league at the St Xavier8217;s ground, Parel, today.

Both teams played good football. Matunga Young Boys held the upperhand but their forwards missed many chances. The culprits were Maani Elimam and Sanjeev Gausain.

In the second session, good goalkeeping by PSS8217;s Christopher D8217;Silva kept Matunga Young Boys forwards at bay for 20 minutes.

In the meanwhile, PSS shot into the lead when they were awarded a spot-kick by referee Nitin Bhosle. Matunga Young8217;s Summith Shetty handled the ball in the box and Eddie Cabral converted the penalty.

Thereafter the Matunga Young Boys forwardline woke up from their slumber and applied pressure on the PSS defence. Their efforts bore fruit in the 59th minute when a pass from the right by Faizal Elimam was neatly placed home by Sanjeev Gausain to the far corner of the net, after 8216;keeper Christopher D8217;Silva was caught on the wrongfoot.

Earlier In Division III-A, Dadar Young Boys beat Sonata 2-0. Laxmikant Solanki and Navnit Solanki were the goal-getters.
