FATEHGARH SAHIB, JAN 20: Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar denied reports that the Dal president was going to join hands with Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee president Gurcharan Singh Tohra. Iqbal Singh Tiwana, official spokesman of the Dal, in a press release issued here today, said that these rumoures were being spread to tarnish the image of SAD Amritsar president Simranjit Singh Mann.

He said that the Akali Dal Amritsar had no concern to save or spoil the political career of any leader like Tohra and Badal as both the leaders had always ignored the Sikh principles for their political motives.

He held Tohra responsible for the tussle among Takht Jathedars, controversies over hukamnamas and contriversial calander jantri issued recently by the SGPC.The SAD A spokeman apealed to Jathedar, Akal Takhat Sahib, to take action against Badal and Tohra for disobeying the Hukamnamas.

Tiwana said the efforts to remove Bhai Ranjit Singh from the post of Jathedar, Akal Takhat, Sahib would not be allowed at any cost.
