Expressing 8220;deep pain8221; at the death of Prof H S Sabharwal in violence allegedly by ABVP activists in an Ujjain college, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday strongly disapproved of the 8220;disrespectful8221; behaviour towards teachers by students and some anti-social elements pretending to be students. 8220;I was deeply pained when I heard of the death of a teacher last week in Ujjain at the hands of unruly students,8221; he said. 8220;I am also pained by incidents of disrespectful behaviour by students and some anti-social elements who pretend to be students,8221; he said apparently referring to the threats made by ABVP leaders to another professor of the college. The PM made the comments while addressing award winning teachers from across the country.
