There is a reason behind this fascination with the South East Asia. 8220;They are an outgoing lot, very warm and receptive and quite adventurous,8221; remarks chef and F038;B manager, Taj Chandigarh Neeraj Chaudhry. So when it comes to hiring a band, he says the first choice for Taj hotels across is obviously these guys. 8220;Just like Thai make the best fruit carvers, musicians from South East Asia, especially the Philippines make the best band,8221; he introduces us to the three members of 8216;Emotion8217; band 8211; on the keyboards Eugene, and singers Lyn and Jennifer. All set to swing and sway to Taj8217;s Retro Nights at the Lava Bar, the trio8217;s here to sing and make you dance courtesy Stella Beer.

8220;We love travelling, that8217;s why we moved out of Manila,8221; says Lyn, listing the countries stamped on their passport 8211; 8220;Japan, China, Vietnam, Middle East8230;and now, first time in India.8221; They sing all retro numbers, mainly English, but now that they are in India, the Hindi song on their play list is the same which the previous band from the Philippines! performed on. 8220;Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and yeah, Made In India,8221; chuckle Lyn and Jennifer.

Of course they miss home, but this restless urge to see new places, experience different cultures takes precedence over everything. And when you are staying at five star properties, the experience definitely gets richer! High on the rising tide of 8216;emotion8217;, the three have already ticked their next destination 8211; 8220;Dubai, because it has some of the best hotels.8221; But before that, it8217;s India time.
