Mahindra, Sporting split points

Mahindra United dominated the proceedings but had to be satisfied with a 0-0 draw against Sporting Clube de Goa at the Cooperage.

Mahindra United dominated the proceedings but had to be satisfied with a 0-0 draw against Sporting Clube de Goa at the Cooperage.

Mahindra strikers Edeh Chidi and Sushil Kumar Singh goofed up several scoring chances, especially in the second half.

Sporting coach Vishwas Gaonkar, though, insisted his team8217;s initial plan was to attack the Mahindra citadel and take an early lead. 8220;But once we failed to do that in the first half, I asked the boys to sit back a little and the defence did their job to perfection,8221; he said.
