Maharashtra today became India8217;s second state, after Rajasthan, to pass the long-delayed Right to Information Bill. It was passed unanimously and as soon as the President gives his nod, will allow citizens to gather information from various government departments.

The Bill8217;s prime mover, Anna Hazare said he did not foresee any problems with presidential assent. 8216;8216;If the Centre refuses to refer the bill to President, then I will not hesitate to launch an agitation,8217;8217; he said.
