
CHANDIGARH, Oct 6: Camps to test the lung functions of city residents were conducted by WWF for Nature India, Chandigarh region, along with Recorders and Medicare Systems.
The tests were conducted with the aid of Medspiror Lung Check at camps held in St Stephens School, Chandigarh Golf Club and Punjab University. According to a spokesperson, there was an enthusiastic response from the public as most people were unaware of the illness caused by pollution in the atmosphere. The extent of diseases like asthama and bronchitis can be gauged from the tests.
