LML hearing

NEW DELHI, Aug 13: The Kanpur court on Thursday fixed August 27 for the next hearing in the dispute between the Singhanias and Piaggio of Italy over the transfer of shares of their joint venture, LML, to the Indian promoters.

In the hearing held on Thursday, Singhanias8217; counsel insisted that the Dutch company Piaggio BV 8212; which holds shares in LML 8212; file a reply in the court. Singhanias were insistent that the Piaggio reply to the petition as it is not a signatory to the joint-venture agreement and should, therefore, make its position clear.

Consequently, it was learnt that the Dutch subsidiary filed its reply on Thursday.
