Lee to undergo surgery

Fast bowler Brett Lee will undergo a surgery on Tuesday to set right an injured ankle that forced him return home from Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka earlier this month.

“Obviously I have been bowling with some discomfort for a while now despite receiving plenty of treatment on the ankle. After consulting my surgeon and the Australian team support staff, I took the decision to have the ankle operated and try to resolve the problem once and for all,” Lee said. (PTI)
