MUMBAI, Feb 20: The 16-member Sri Lankan under-19 cricket team led by opening batsman Upeka Fernando, one of the six in the squad to have played in the last junior World Cup in South Africa, arrived here today for a short tour to play against their Indian counterparts.

The Lankans are to start their tour with a three-day match against the Indian cricket Board President’s u-19 XI at the Cricket Club of India here from February 22 before taking on the Indian u-19 team in the four-day one-off `Test’ at the Wankhede Stadium from February 27-March 2.

The Lankans would also play four limited overs matches against the Indian u-19 team at Gwalior (March 5 & 7) and Delhi (March 9 & 11) before departing for home on March 12.

Indian team on Feb 24: The Indian u-19 team for the first `Test’ against the Sri Lankan Colts which begins on February 27 will be selected on February 24, the last day of the three-day match.

The Board’s President XI team would be announced tomorrow from the 31 probables who are undergoinga training camp at the Wankhede Stadium.

The Lankan u-19 team: Upeka Fernando (captain), Prasanna Jayawardena, Ian Daniels, Jerome Fernando, Prabath Nishantha, Sathpath Kalum, Sujeewa de Silva, Malinga Banadara, Ranil Dhamika, Jehan Mubarak, Chamara Silva, Malintha Gajanayake, Thilina Kandambi, Duminda Perera, Nalin Wijesinghe and Pubudu Senevirathne.
