NEW DELHI, January 3: Top seed Vadim Kutsenko and fellow Uzbek Dmitri Tomasevich enjoyed their two hour cross-court topspin session but Kutsenko made fewer unforced errors to win 6-4, 6-4, a silver plaque and the first leg of the ITF Men’s Future circuit at the DTA courts on Saturday.

For Kutsenko, who played his toughest matches against German Alex Bose in the pre-quarterfinal and American Andrew Rueb in the quarters, the final was an ideal way to pace himself for the Chandigarh leg of the tournament where he is top seed again.Later in the day, Israeli Lior Mor, pairing with Briton James Delgado, was unlucky for the second time when he lost in three tie-break sets to Jonathon Erlich and Naom Okun.

In Friday’s singles semi-final Mor, who had two match points against Tomasevich, lost heart and the match after a controversial line call at 5-all.Results (all finals): Singles: Vadim Kutsenko (Uzb) bt Dmitri Tomashevich (Uzb) 6-4 6-4. Doubles: Jonathan Erlich/Noam Okun (Isr) bt James Delgado (Gbr)/Lior Morit
