
Nearly a month after he was suspended from the BJP for joining expelled party leader Uma Bharati8217;s rally, former Delhi CM Madan Lal Khurana today resigned from the BJP.
8216;8216;I have sent my resignation, addressed to the BJP Chief Rajnath Singh, to the party office here,8217;8217; said Khurana.He alleged that the 8216;8216;BJP leadership is running the party like a private limited company with no regard whatsoever for mass leaders. I resigned because I have been feeling severely uncomfortable in such an environment8217;8217;. Copies of the resignation letter have been sent to former PM A B Vajpayee, RSS leaders K S Sudarshan and Mohan Bhagawat and VHP leader Ashok Singhal, he said.
On his future political move, Khurana said that he would make a choice between launching a 8216;8216;third front8217;8217; in Delhi or joining Bharati8217;s proposed party after a month.
A four-time former mp, Khurana, however, said he was holding talks with up Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and former Haryana CM Om Prakash Chautala over his future plans.
But the veteran Delhi leader vowed an electoral challenge to four of the BJP leaders he accused of damaging his political position in the party.
8220;I will not let them win any election in the future,8221; Khurana, who did not name his four adversaries in the BJP, said.
Meanwhile, the BJP said Khurana8217;s resignation would be accepted. 8220;It resignation will be accepted,8221;party spokesman Prakash Javadekar said.
