What happens after the shehnaai, sindoor, and the saat pheras? You go on a honeymoon, that8217;s what. And if you have met each other just the once before the fait accompli at the mandap, as Abhay Sachdeva Fardeen and Ritika Khanna Esha do, you start learning each other from scratch. Which side of the bed do you want, asks Abhay as he waits for his bride to emerge from the bathroom. Whichever you like, says Ritika. But they don8217;t make it to the rose-petal strewn bed: she is petrified of that stuff between the sheets, and he acts understanding, up to a point.

Other holidaying couples around them, represent men and women at various stages in their lives. Satish and Kirron have done forty years of marriage, and their way of showing undying affection is to irritably tolerate each other. Mukul and Saadiya have known each other all their lives, but he still thinks of her as his kid sister8217;s best friend one of the nicer bits in the film is when she addresses him, inadvertently, as bhai-jaan!.

Add an adulterous couple, and another which doesn8217;t quite know which way the two persons want to go: there8217;s enough potential here to make for an absorbing relationship tale. But, despite some felt flashes, there8217;s not enough excitement in Meghna Gulzar8217;s second movie. Fardeen and Esha8217;s scrabbling and squabbling becomes dull which planet does she live on, chrissakes, this girl who accuses her husband of being interested only in sex too soon. So do the interactions between the others. You can8217;t help comparing this tepid offering with the similarly-themed recent Honeymoon Travels Pvt Limited, which gave us much more.
