AMBALA Cantonment, Jan 20: The bout slated to be the fight of evening did not turnout that way after all. V. Jollyson of the Steel Plants Sports Board SPSB, among the most promising boxers in the country today, sent his arch rival K. Mani of the Services Sports Control Board SSCB crashing on the canvas for the third time in less than five minutes and the referee stopped the contest.

That was the pre-quarter final brawl of the light welter category in the 44th Senior National Boxing championships, which everyone in the Indoor Hall of War Heroes Memorial Stadium Had come to watch.
