Osaka, Sept 30: Indian men finished a creditable fifth while the women8217;s team slid to the 10th spot in the team events of the Asian Table Tennis Championships here today. After crashing out to Japan in the quarter-finals yesterday, the men had a great day topping the four-team play-off Indonesia, Australia and Hong Kong for the fifth to eighth places.

It was a bad day though for India8217;s women8217;s team as they went down 0-3 to New Zealand in the ninth place play-offs. DOUBLE FOR CHINA: Meanwhile, China swept the stakes in the team events winning both the men8217;s and women8217;s titles today.
