ISLAMABAD, NOV 14: Pakistan8217;s military ruler General Pervez Musharraf has accused India of quot;avoidingquot; a discussion on Kashmir and termed New Delhi8217;s seeking deferment of the SAARC summit in Kathmandu on the ground of the military takeover in Islamabad, as quot;violativequot; of the SAARC charter.

In interviews to American and British media, he said that Pakistan is ready to resolve all problems with India, but quot;of all our issues, Kashmir is the main issue. But India is avoiding discussion on the subjectquot;.

quot;It is India which coined this wonderful word bilateralism8217;, but it has been used not to negotiate at all,quot; Gen Musharraf alleged and reiterated third party mediation on the issue.

India has consistently rejected outside mediation, insisting that all Indo-Pak issues should be resolved through bilateral dialogue as per the Shimla Agreement. Gen Musharraf was critical of India8217;s seeking postponement of the SAARC summit in Kathmandu later this month on the ground of the military takeover, and alleged, quot;India isnot only violating SAARC8217;s charter, but also interfering in Pakistan8217;s internal affairs.quot;
