NEW DELHI: Western Railway Mumbai staged a dramatic rally after being down 0-2 till the half time to stroke out Punjab and Sind Bank Academy, 6-5, via tie breaker in the semi-final of the 19th Servo Sanjay Gandhi Hockey Tournament here on Monday.

In the other semi-final, Shinu Herenz scored a fine hatrick to enable Border Security Force BSF score a facile 6-1 win over Army Signal Corp ASC and set up a title clash with Western Railway on Tuesday.

Orissa in QF

MUMBAI: Team JK Tyres8217; Akbar Ebrahim and Gurunath Meyappan triumphed in the Formula Maruti category at the JK Tyre International race in the Kings Lager Motor Races and Mini-Grand Prix in Sri Lanka recently.

Chadda dead

HYDERABAD: Sriram Chadda, former secretary of Badminton Association of India BAI and life vice-president of International Badminton Federation IBF passed away at his native place in Jabalpur, Sunday night. He was 74.He is survived by his wife, son and two daughters. Chaddha had been suffering from parkinson8217;s disease for the last six months.
