India, Asian powers Japan and Nepal are grouped together in the competition which will be the first to start and will be held from November 30 to December 19. India taken on Japan in their inaugural outing on Dec 3 and meet Nepal on Dec 5.

Digvijay, Dube in

NEW DELHI: A five-member Indian team comprising Harmeet Kahlon, Amit Luthra, Digvijay Singh, Amit Dube and Dilip Thomas non-playing captain left today for San Diego, Chile to take part in the Eisenhower Cup to be held there from November 19.

RCF triumph

KOLHAPUR: Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers RCF, Mumbai, defeated Maharashtra Police, Mumbai, in a penalty shoot-out, 4-3, to lift the Mayor8217;s Cup in the final football match here on Thursday.

RCF claimed the winning purse of Rs 21,000 and the rolling trophy while runner-upMaharashtra Police got Rs 11,000. Pratap Tirki of RCF, was declared Man-of-the-Series.
