Muzumdar to lead MCA colts
MUMBAI: Middle order batsman Amol Muzumdar will lead the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) colts team in the Police Invitation Cricket tournament to be held here from tomorrow.
Team: Amit Pagnis, Ojas Mehta, Kiran Pawar, Amol Muzumdar (capt), Nishit Shetty, Mandar Phadke, Atiq Sayeed (wicketkeeper), Rajesh Pawar, Vineet Sarang, Faisal Sheikh, Sandeep Dahad, Santosh Saxena, S Kannan, Mandar Gokarn and Amit Aroskar.

NEW DELHI: Ashis Roy will compete in two marathon races in the United States this month.
Announcing his participation in a release today, Roy, 66, said he would be the first Indian to represent in the Chicago Marathon (October 11) and Marine Corps Marathon, Washington (October 25).
ICC tourney
MUMBAI: The One-Day International cricket tournament to be held at Dhaka (Bangladesh) from October 24 to November one would be named `Wills International Cup.’ In a statement here on Saturday, the President of the InternationalCricket Council (ICC), Jagmohan Dalmiya, said all the nine Test playing countries would participate in the knock-out tournament organised by the ICC.
The clarification from ICC comes in the wake of media reports calling the championship as Mini World Cup.
Jaipur based Arun Pabuwal, who designed the Reliance World Cup and the Gold Flake Open Tennis Championship, will design the trophy. New Zealand will clash with Zimbabwe in the opening match on October 24, while India will take on Australia on October 28.
