MUMBAI, December 19: Over 100 unauthorised huts, stalls and extensions to buildings were demolished by the BMC at Bandra west today. A BMC release said that 50 unauthorised huts at Rebello road, two unauthorised stalls at Chapel road, one stall opposite Lilavati hospital and 50 illegal buildings extensions near Bandra BEST depot were demolished in a joint action carried out by H west ward office and the Ward officer removal of encroachments.

The demolitions were carried out under adequate police protection from the Bandra and Naigaon police stations.
