Which meal is the most important?
That depends on my schedule. If I’m busy shooting all day, I have my main meal in the evening. I’m a vegetarian by choice; my meals are regular khana like chapattis and vegetables. I drink a lot of coconut water and juices.
Do you diet?
No. I’m a Punjabi. The two don’t go hand in hand.
Is health food a part of your diet?
Everything I eat is quite healthy. Juices, fruits and vegetables are a part of my diet anyway, so I don’t make any extra effort.
Do you prefer eating out or at home?
I do eat out quite often. When I’m travelling, I binge on hotel buffets. When I’m in town, I try and eat home food.
What’s your exercise regime?
I do more cardio than weights. I try to work out and do yoga every day.
How do you make changes in your fitness schedule to suit your characters?
For the upcoming Gangster, I had to do more cardio and weights as I’m playing the gangster in the film. In Tanuja Chandra’s Rocking, I play a doctor and since that role doesn’t need me to be well built, I’ll step up the cardio and decrease weights.
Who has the best body in the industry?
I would say Hrithik. He’s lean, yet muscular.
