PATIALA, Dec 7: It was a bad day for the Army teams on the second day of the 23rd Liberals All-India hockey tournament in progress at Nabha today as AOC Secundrabad, BEG Roorkee and Assam Regiment made their exit.

AOC lost to Thapar Academy Sansarpur 6-5 in tie-breaker and BEG were out-stroked by NYC Bhopal 5-4 and Haryana XI prevailed 2-1 over Assam Regiment. In the last match, SRC Ramgarh crushed Central Railway Bhopal 3-1.

Punjab TT
State Bank of Patiala will clash with Punjab State Electricity Board in the final of the 39th Punjab State Open and Inter-District table tennis championship men. Patiala, meanwhile won team titles in the sub-junior boys and girls sections under-12 while Jalandhar won the sub-junior boys under-12 title.

Results: Men: SBP bt Amritsar 3-2, PSEB bt Jalandhar 3-0. Cadet boys SF: Patiala bt Ropar 3-2, Amritsar bt Jalandhar 3-1. Cadet girl8217;s final: Patiala bt Faridkot 3-1. Sub-jr boys: Jalandhar bt Patiala 3-1.
