CHANDIGARH, MARCH 4: A demonstration was staged by the employees of the Haryana Employees Coordination Committee; Chandigarh and Panchkula at Sector 22 and 34 here today.

The employees protested the alleged indifferent attitude of State Government towards their demands. The demands of the employees include pay parity package on the lines of the staff of the secretariat, rectification of alleged pay anomalies after the fifth pay commission, improvement in A.C.P. scheme, five day week for employees of printing presses, gazetted status for circle head drafts men, house rent and bonus on central pattern, open ended scale and other benefits to Class IV employees.

N. K. Sharma, the general secretary of the committee, informed that the committee plans to intensify its agitation from March 10 and would take a decision about the future course of action in the state level conference to be held on March 17.
