MUMBAI, Oct 5: Former State player Shirish Benare was taken the full distance before prevailing 21-10, 20-22, 21-13 over Sagar Godambe in a men8217;s singles first-round match of the Thane District Ranking table tennis tournament, conducted by Maratha Hitwardhak Mandal, Dombivli, today.

Cricket coaching: PJ Hindu Gymkhana will be holding the LR Tairsee Memorial Cricket Coaching Scheme from October 15 to January 15. The selection will be from October 12 at 7.00 am.
