
AMRITSAR, May 31: On the growing demand of the corporate sector, Guru Nanak Dev University has decided to start Master of Business Economics MBE course from the academic session 1998-99. This was disclosed here by Harbhajan Singh Soch, Vice- Chancellor of the University.
Soch said this is a job-oriented course which has been designed to train students to serve in business, trade and industry. In this course, specialised training will be provided to students to enable them to serve in specialised financial institutions, RBI, commercial banks, Life and General Insurance Corporations, UTI, International World Bank, World Trade Organisation, multi-national corporations and business houses.
The vice-chancellor further stated that MBE is a multi-disciplinary programme targeted to prepare managers, business analysts and management information experts in the areas of banking, international trade and business procedures, foreign exchange management, investment and portfolio.
