Lewis apologises for swear word
LONDON: Leicestershire all-rounder Chris Lewis issued a public apology after being fined for his verbal attack on the England selectors.

The controversial Lewis, punished for calling the selectors full of xxxx8217; after he was left out of the 37-strong provisional World Cup squad, in a statements said: 8220;I have been disciplined and fined by Leicestershire County Cricket Club for using a swear word during a press conference. I deeply regret the use of this word.8221;

Agassi to miss Davis Cup semis

Sand is Denmark8217;s footballer of year
COPENHAGEN: National team striker Ebbe Sand has been voted Denmark8217;s Footballer of the Year in a poll organised by the Newspaper Ekstra Bladet.Sand received a total of 253 votes in the survey of all the country8217;s First Division coaches and footballers. He was followed by former Ajax player Michael Laudrup 161 votes and AC Milan8217;s Thomas Helvig 91 votes.Ebbe Sand was top scorer in the Danish first division last year with 28 goals in 33 games.

Bosnian honours Kasparov with medal
