Flooded by politics

The Railway Ministry8217;s official public relations machinery went into a tizzy at a press briefing convened by Lalu Prasad Yadav, ostensibly over the Bihar floods. Not clear on whether it was a ministry-specific briefing or a political one, the Railway PR officials tried to play safe by putting nameplates of all Railway Board Members alongside the minister8217;s on the podium. But the nameplates were removed seconds before Yadav made his entry into the room as some official realised that the party colleagues accompanying the minister were heading straight for the dais. The Railway Board Members had to quickly re-adjust, and find positions elsewhere.
