CHANDIGARH, Sept 22: DAV Model School, Sector 15 of Chandigarh had a field day by winning six titles in the Mahatma Hans Raj Aryan Zonal Sports Chandigarh-Panchkula Zone today. They emerged winners in girls handball, basketball boys, kho-kho boys and girls and volleyball boys and girls.

DAV Public School, Thermal Colony Panipat won the cricket, table tennis boys titles. In cricket final, the Panipat school beat Hans Raj Public School, Sector 6 Panchkula by three runs.

Kailash Bahl DAV Centenary School, Sector 7 Chandigarh won the gymnastic title for girls with 71.90 points.

Banga elected
BR Banga has been elected president of the Adventure Sports Association of India in the general body meeting held today. The other office-beearers are: GK Sabharwal, DS Saroya sr vice-presidents, GS WAsson, Mohinder Singh Dosanjh vice-presidents, general secretary PS Brar, finance secretary Balbir Singh, Naib Singh joint secretary, GS Bhangu Principal Adviser and JPS Sidhu Adviser.

Walia to lead
Panchkula: Narinder Walia will lead Panchkula District under-19 team in the Haryana State Inter-District Cricket Tournament. According to Panchkula District Cricket Association secretary Sandeep Moudgil, they play their first match against Chandigarh on September 24 at Gursagar Ground in Chandigarh.
