
CHANDIGARH, Oct 1: The Lions Club Chandigarh Central will be organising a two-day mega free-eye operation camp at the Sector 26 Satsang Bhawan here from October 3. A team of doctors and para-medical staff led by eye surgeons, Dr R K Kapahtia and Dr Rakesh Kumar will examine patients suffering from eye ailments on October 3 from 9 am to 4 pm and operations will be performed the subsequent day on October 4. This is the 24th camp in a row that has so far been organised by the club.
According to a spokesman of the club, Sanjeev Gupta, free medicines, food, boarding and lodging facilities will be provided to the patients and their attendants by the club. The camp is being organised for the people of the city and its surrounding areas and will be inaugurated by district governor, 321-F Ravinder Parkash Goel.
