CHANDIGARH, Sept 29: The Punjab State Ministerial Services Union today held rallies at different points in the City to protest the non-acceptance of their demands.

They also blocked traffic near the Municipal Corporation office in Sector 17. But the blockade did not last more than than five minutes.

A rally was held at the Punjab Treasury Office in Sector 17, where a large number of employees took part and raised slogans against the government.

A press statement issued by union general secretary K. K. Jindal said it has been decided to hold a rally tomorrow in the Sector 17 bridge market. The employees reiterated their pledge to continue their agitation till their demands were accepted.

The employees have been on strike since September 15, severely affecting the functioning of offices in Chandigarh and Punjab.

S A S Nagar: The employees of the office of the Mohali Sub Divisional Magistrate have criticised the Punjab Government for invoking no work no pay8217; with respect to the members of Ministerial Staff Union. They have decided to continue their strike, said SDM Employees Union general secretary Om Parkash.
