RANCHI, MARCH 24: Wild elephants have killed three persons in different villages in south Bihar recently, police said today.

The elephants, who went berserk on crops in Hutar, Masu and Itki villages of Bedo block in this district, killed Etwa Orgaon, Jhagru Oraon and Mohammad Hussien, they said.

Meanwhile, political parties, including the Rashtriya Janata Dal, expressed concern over the killing and demanded compensation to the families of the victims.

They also appealed to the forest department to immediately take steps to catch the elephants.
