PUNE, June 23: For students, the month of June is full of encouragement or discouragement. You get to hear many statements from them. Many unsuccessful students ask, 8220;Are we going to get jobs if we pass?8221; 8220;Are we going to get jobs if we fail?8221; Many successful students keep moving ahead, not knowing exactly what they want.

Sujata, a school girl always stands first in the class, whereas her father complains that the elder boys are dull. Many say that some are born with a certain gift and some are not. Well! This is not so. Why then do schools like Helena8217;s, Hutchings, Bishops get a cent percent result? Obviously, the teachers and the school itself make a large difference to the performance of the student, as does the encouragement and support of the parents. James was never interested in college. He took up a technical field, and now he earns a good salary. There are many who opt for technical rather than a degree. This is right upto certain extent. Every generation looks at the scope and then chooses a profitable field.

Earlier the ambition of children was to become either a doctor or an engineer but now things have changed, ambitions have changed and will continue to do so with every generation.

The society sees as to what it next wants. Then such courses are introduced. The first batches always get jobs easily. They tell others about it and then opt for the same course in large numbers, only to get discouraged when they came to know that there is no vacancy. This is due to population explosion 8211; less jobs more people.

Night schools and colleges are full of elderly people along with the young because many years back, people easily got jobs after school or junior college. Now they feel the need and inclination to complete a particular course at a higher standard. It8217;s never too late because knowledge never ends. Failure is never final, success is always ahead.

Pratibha, a student of University of Pune, studies as well as works. This is the right attitude. Such an attitude helps a person to become more efficient in life.

One should not give up education, even if he is working. And one should not refuse to work in any place, even if he feels that it is degrading for him.

No matter what age you are, you can continue to study. You need not attend any classes. You can even work while you study. After all a human being should never refuse education.
