DU TT title for SRCC

NEW DELHI, Sept 29: SRCC claimed the men8217;s team championship of the Delhi University inter-college table tennis tournament beating Khalsa College 3-0 in the final. Rajiv Ghai, S P Barua and Karan Sachdeva represented winners. Ajit Pal, I M Singh and Pawandeep played for Khalsa.
Result: Men final: SRCC bt Khalsa College 3-0 Rajiv Ghai bt Ajit Pal 21-15, 21-10; S P Baruah bt I M Singh 21-17, 20-22, 21-17; Karan Sachdeva bt Pawandeep 12-21, 21-12, 21-13. Women quarter-finals: LSR bt Kalindi 3-0, St Stephen8217;s bt SRCC 3-1, Hansraj bt Daulat Ram 3-2, JMC bt LBC 3-0.

Crown for Subhania
Subhania Club won the first Sheetala Prasad Jain Memorial tournament downing Haryana Cricket Academy by seven wicket at Mohan Meakin ground. Mridul Gupta 83 not out and Amit Sharma 51 were the principal contributors for Subhania while Jitender Gulia 56 and Samir Jain 38 not out scored for the losers.
