
Mumbai, Oct 26: Members of Jain community demanded that the five film stars accused of shooting endangered animals near Jodhpur in Rajasthan be dropped from the film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
Over 21 members of Maharashtra Jain Samata Vahini led a morcha to the office of Rajshri Productions, the producers of the film, at Prabhadevi this afternoon and submitted a memorandum to Kamal Kumar Bharjatya demanding that Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Taby, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Satish Shah who feature in the film be dropped. Vahini represents 15 Jain institutions in Mumbai.
About meeting Bharjatya, President of Vahini Hardik Hundiya said, 8220;He said it would be difficult to remove the actors since it would lead to losses of nearly Rs 15-20 crore.quot;
Reacting to the protest, Barjatya said that he would consider their demands. quot;We will think about it, but only after the court gives a verdict on the matter,quot; he added.
