Double for Manish

CHANDIGARH, Sept 10: Manish Srivastva claimed titles in the open billiards and open snooker events in the YMCA Open Billiards and Snooker tournament which concluded at the YMCA Hall in Sector 11, here today.

In the open billiards event, Manish got the better of Deepak Goel 524-350, to pocket his first title of the meet. Earlier, Deepak outclassed B Khurana 467-204, in the semifinal.

In open snooker, even though Manish lost his last league match to Sunny Bhalla 1-3 for the biggest upset of the day, he remained atop the board on the basis of the his wins in the earlier league encounters.

Anil Sharma won the handicap billiards title by defeating AS Benipal 324-280 while handicap snooker trophy went to Bhupinder who defeated Ajay Chandel 43-63, 68-20, 50-43.
