Allred said she filed a breach-of-contract suit in Santa Monica superior court contending Fayed wanted Fisher, 8220;to put her career in second place behind him and to spend more time with him and less on her modelling career8221;.

The model has appeared on the covers of Elle, W, and other magazines.Fisher, a tall, slender brunette, with short, Princess Diana-style hair, made no statement. She uttered only one word at the crowded news conference.Asked if she would consider a reconciliation or friendship with Fayed, she responded, 8220;No8221;. She then fled the room in tears.

Allred said: 8220;Fayed betrayed her and has humiliated her in the eyes of her friends and family.8221;

The suit contends Fayed offered Fisher 500,000 to shift her career so she could spend more time with him. The suit alleges she received 60,000 and a check for 200,000 that bounced.

Among other things, the suit seeks 440,000, legal costs and other damages the court might decide on. In a statement, Allred also contends Fayed told Fisher he bought a home they would live in at Paradise Cove, an exclusive section of Malibu.

He brought her to the home to see it and told her to start 8220;shopping for furnishings,8221; Allred said.

The attorney said Fisher learned of Fayed8217;s links with Diana not from him personally, but from the now-famous kiss photo8217; published around the world that purports to show an embrace between Fayed and the princess.

Fisher and Fayed met in Paris in July 1996. On occasion, the attorney said, the pair stayed at the Beverly Hills hotel, the Pierre Hotel in New York and various hotels in London and Paris, and aboard his family yachts in the South of France.

At the time Fayed was photographed with Diana, Fisher was nearby on a yacht owned by the Fayed family, the attorney said. Allred said Fisher was told by Fayed8217;s family not to call him again when she tried to reach him recently.

In a prepared statement, Allred said Fayed 8220;led her emotionally all the way up to the altar and abandoned her when they were almost there. He threw her love away in a callous way with no regard for her whatsoever.8221;

Allred also said Fisher was going public in the interest of Diana. 8220;We care about Princess Diana and her future,8221; Allred said. 8220;We would like the princess who has suffered greatly in the past to know of Fisher8217;s experiences with Fayed so she can make an informed decision regarding her future and that of her children.8221;

She offered to have Fisher meet with Diana, 8220;anywhere in the world on a confidential basis8221;.

Fayed may be able to afford princely clothing and act as if he is of 8220;royal blood, but beneath that exterior there is no prince,8221; Allred said.Pat Kingsley, Fayed8217;s spokeswoman in Los Angeles, said he does not own any Malibu real estate. 8220;He did not buy her a house in Malibu,8221; she said during a telephone interview.

He did know her and they had seen one another, but according to the best of my knowledge they, stopped dating earlier in the year. And as far as he was concerned, 8220;the relationship was one of friendship,8221; Kingsley said.8220;She was given jewellery and gifts because they were seeing one another, but she was not given an engagement ring,8221; Kingsley said.

Because she had not seen the lawsuit filed by Fisher or spoken with her client since it was announced, she said she could not comment on the suit.
