Ammonia gas leak at Noida
A case of ammonia gas leak was reported Sunday from a factory A-20 in Sector 2, Noida. The employees of the factory allegedly locked up the factory and fled. No casualty has been reported.

According to sources, the gas started leaking from a tanker at around 5 p.m.. Labourers at neighbouring factories started coughing. Someone reported the matter to the police control room at 5.50 p.m.

Firemen reached the spot and controlled the situation. A case of negligence is yet to be registered against the owners of the factory.

Woman charred to death
A 27-year-old woman was charred to death in the Anand Vihar area of Ghaziabad early on Sunday morning. Mamta went into her kitchen at 5 a.m. to prepare tea for her family when the incident took place. Her husband, Rajinder Singh, told the police that on hearing Mamta8217;s screams he rushed to the kitchen, but could not save his wife. Mamta died on the spot. 8220;It seems that LPG leakage caused the fire8221;, said a police officer.
