Cinema is more funthan votingFor many the day off came in handy. In Nangloi village, next to the the polling booths at the MCD primary school, there is a cinema hall. While the police personnel on duty admitted that the polling booths had remained largely deserted throughout the day, there was a near-riot at the cinema hall. Pointing towards the clamouring crowds, a police officer remarked: “The Indian voter has finally come of age. He knows that the movie is more fun. Moreover, even if he does not vote this time round, the elections will take place again in another six months.” ctio
