PUNE, April 27: Two persons were seriously wounded when a gang of seven to eight dacoits attacked them at Uruli village on Pune-Solapur Road early last morning.

The two victims, Devidas M Musale and his son in law Prakash R Kale, were fast asleep when the dacoits broke open the door of their house with the help of axes, police said.

The culprits decamped with booty worth Rs 14,400 after attacking Musale and Kale with sticks, iron rods and axes, they added. While Musale and Kale have been admitted to a private hospital in the area, the Loni Kalbhor police have filed a case of dacoity in this connection.
