MUMBAI, Jan 10: Central railway Mumbai Division CRMD just about beat Bombay Republicans A by a solitary goal in the Bombay Hockey Association-conducted Senior Division League at the Mahindra Stadium, today.

CRMD, a side mixed with youth and experience, had a lone chance in the first-half but Amin hit the post when trying to convert a stroke that they had earned. They notched the match-winner in the 48th minute through Yogesh Muthayya.

An unbeaten 90 by opener Ojas Mehta and his 130 runs partnership for the second wicket with Rahul Sagar helped Bombay Gymkhana to score 145 for two in 41 overs against MCA Colts in the fourth round of the Police Shield Invitation cricket tournament on their home ground, today.

Mehta8217;s unbeaten knock had two sixes and 11 hits to the ropes off 112 balls while Sagar contributed a steady 38.
