PCO-owner looted
Two unidentified persons entered a telephone booth in the Pandesara area of the city on Monday night and looted the owner of cash at knife-point. Prahlad Gokulchandra Punjabi, the owner of a STD booth at M/209 GHB building, Pandesara complained to the police that two accused entered his booth on the pretext of making a phone call at 11.15 pm. Once inside, they rolled down the shutter and after pointing a knife at him escaped with cash of Rs 3,800.

Man missing
One Lakhan Ladlu Nityananad, a migrant labourer is missing since Monday evening, the Kapodara police were informed today. Ladlu Kishore Nityanand told the police that Lakhan 26 left the house stating that he was going to search for some work, but did not return. Last seen, the youth was wearing a brown shirt and white trousers.

One dead
One Dahya Patha Veladi 38, a resident of Chhapaniya Chawl, Rudarpura died on Tuesday afternoon in the Maskati hospital, where he was admitted in an unconscious state on July 31. The Athwalines police, who have registered a case, said that the man suddennly lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital, where he was being treated for the past three days. A case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been registered.

Vehicle stolen
A hero Honda motorcycle GJ 5 AD 1120 belonging to one Prakash Khimji Patel, was reported stolen from the Katargam area of the city. Patel told the police in a complaint that he had parked the motorcycle outside his house at A-95 Kubernagar II, from where it was stolen. A case has been under section 379 of the IPC has been registered in the Katargam police station.
