
Burns death
Aruna Aadhar Besane 22, a resident of plot no 509, Naagsen Nagar, died on Wednesday morning, a few hours after being admitted to the New Civil Hospital with severe burn injuries. Quoting the dying declaration of the woman, the police said that she was lighting a fire when her clothes caught fire at around 9 pm. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died early today morning. Interestingly, according to the dying declaration of the woman, she had been married for eight years now, which means she was married at the age of 14. Pandesara ASI Chiman Bajiya is investigating further.
Boy run over
A four-year-old boy, Gautam Thogar Patel, was fatally knocked down on Wednesday morning by a Maruti van whose driver has been identified as Nifam Rajputram Sitaram. A case registered in the Ichhapore police station said that the boy was playing on the road opposite the Kribhco Township Main Gate when he was hit by the van GCX 9687. Sitaram is a Kribhco employee and resides in Kribhco Township on the outskirts of the city while Gautam lived in a slum outside the company8217;s heavy water plant, PSI Y R Gamit, who is investigating said. The driver surrendered before the police immediately afterwards and has been booked under sections of the MVA and IPC.
Fire victim
22-year-old Reshmi Jitendra Thomar died in the Maskati hospital on Tuesday evening, a couple of hours after being admitted with severe burn injuries. The Varachha police, who have registered a case under CrPC 174, said that the fire brigade received a call that there was a fire at Adarsh Apartments and rushed in to see Reshmi engulfed in fire. The police are ascertaining the cause of the woman8217;s death as her dying declaration could not be taken.
