
To ensure that electricity along the border remains continuous, the Border Security Force BSF will be getting a special power supply line along the Akhnoor sector to Kathua from the State8217;s Power Department. The move comes as a means to check militant infiltration that increases during the night.
Deputy Inspector General DIG of BSF, J B Sanghvan, said, 8220;At the time of power breakdown we make use of the generators so that there was no infiltration. We even use the mobile generators.8221;
According to officials. the proposal for the power supply line will be taken up by the BSF with the Power Development Department PDD. 8220; The supply line to the border as of now comes from sub transmission line-Ist and the BSF depends on generators for the illumination of the border,8221; said Executive Engineer Division III, Power Development Department, M L Kalotra.
BSF personnel move along the border in armoured vehicles as well as engage in daily patrolling.
