CHANDIGARH, April 18: In a freak accident, the conductor of a Haryana Roadways bus was crushed to death under the bus, at the lights near Hotel Aroma in Sector 22 yesterday.

Police said conductor Joginder Pal was crushed under the bus when he came down for a moment and attempted to board it while it was moving.

The police have arrested the bus driver, Mangat Ram., a resident of Sundernagar in Himachal Pradesh. A case has been registered against him under Sections 279 and 304-A of the IPC.
