Civic reception for PPCC chief

While Punjab Congress vice-president Lal Singh and general secretary Sant Ram Singla gave details about the party8217;s performance under the charge of Captain Amarinder Singh, Parneet Kaur thanked the party workers and assured them her full help in their endeavours. She said she would work with commitment towards the development of the area.

Captain Amarinder Singh, while addressing the function, said the Punjab Congress will not allow the state government to play with the sentiments of the people anymore. He said it was time the government did something about the precarious financial position of the state.

Despite this being the PCC chief8217;s maiden public appearance after the Lok Sabha elections here, it failed to generate support from the party worker8217;s who were nowhere on the scene.
