After making his theatrical debut with Loveyapa in 2025, Aamir Khan’s son will now be seen in his second theatrical film titled Ek Din. The film also marks the Hindi film debut of Sai Pallavi, who is primarily known for her work in Tamil and Telugu films. Produced by Aamir Khan, the film is the Hindi adaptation of the Thai film One Day.

From the short teaser, this appears to be a romance drama where Junaid’s Rohan is awestruck by Sai Pallavi’s Meera. The teaser presents Meera as a manic pixie dream girl as Rohan can’t stop admiring her, through the 68-seconds of the teaser. The teaser ends with her saying that real life isn’t as magical as the movies. He insists that magic exists, hinting at their impossible love story.

While this marks Sai Pallavi’s debut in the Hindi film industry, she will be seen in Ramayana later this year, where she is playing Sita along with Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram. The Nitesh Tiwari film also stars Yash, Sunny Deol, Vivek Oberoi among others. It is expected to release on Diwali 2026.

For Junaid, this is his third film. The actor made his debut with YRF’s Maharaj, which released on Netflix, and followed it with Loveyapa, also starring Khushi Kapoor. Junaid and Khushi received a lot of criticism for the Advait Chandan film. Ek Din has been in the making even before Loveyapa’s release. Junaid’s next project is yet to be announced.

Defending Junaid’s career so far, Aamir previously told News 18, “I think he’s a pretty good actor. I’m really proud of the fact that he’s done his job really well in both films.” At the time, he also said, “He’s used none of my help ever. He still doesn’t have a car as we speak. He wants to make his own career.” Aamir is producing Ek Din.

Ek Din is being directed by Sunil Pandey, and marks his directorial debut. The film releases in theatres on May 1.
