Briefcase stolen from parked car
J.S. Saini of a local auto distribution company reported to the police that someone stole a briefcase containing a cellular phone, a digital diary and some important documents from his car PB-10-T-8713, which was parked in Sector 17. A case has been registered.

House burgled in Sector 33
Sharda Chanda, a resident of Sector 33-B, reported to the police that her house was burgled of gold ornaments yesterday. A case under Sections 380 and 454 of the IPC has been registered.

Scooterist hit
Jasbir Singh, a resident of Sector 19, was reportedly hit on his scooter CH-01-N-6961 near the crossing between Sectors 34 and 35, by a Tata Sumo HR-03-B-1765, last night. Police said that a case has been registered against the Tata Sumo driver Raju, a resident of Burail village, but he has not been arrested so far.

Woman hit by scooter
Pali Devi, a resident of Phase I in Ram Darbar, here, was hit by a scooter CH-01-S-3640 driven by Varinder Singh, a resident of Labour Colony, Sector 31, in the wee hours of this morning. A case been registered against the scooterist while the woman has been hospitalised at GMC Sector 32, police added.
