British speed king Dwain Chambers has a chance here tomorrow to judge if his challenge for next year8217;s World Championships will flounder at the feet of World and Olympic 100m champion Maurice Greene.

Chambers proved in 9.96sec last week on a cool night in Munich that he is the best sprinter Europe can offer.

The 24-year-old Londoner pocketed the European title with style. He had also wanted to be the best in the Commonwealth but cramp put paid to that dream in Manchester and Kim Collins ran away with the gold medal Chambers so badly wanted. The muscular Briton beat Greene twice early in the season but has avoided him until the Weltklasse meeting in the cramped, atmospheric stadium in Switzerland.

Chambers feels the time is right to face the back-in-form American again.
