Cable operators stop PTV channel voluntarily

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 3: Almost all the cable operators in the city today voluntarily and individually stopped transmitting the PTV channel on their networks as soon as they got a tip-off through media in this regard. The formal orders on the central government8217;s ban on the telecast of Pakistan Television in India are still awaited here. DC m.Ramsekhar, when contacted, said: quot;We have not received any formal information on the ban from central government as yet. The announcement through the media is a clear signal for the cable operators to stop the telecast of PTV on their own.quot;
