JAMMU, Sept 10: Harkat-Ul-Ansar militant who masterminded the Champnari massacre in Doda district in which 25 people were killed on June 19 has been arrested.

A police spokesman said here this evening that on receiving specific information, Doda district police apprehended Siraj-ud-Din alias Manzoor of the pro-Pakistan militant outfit from Kishtwar.

Manzoor, a resident of Bhata Malan, confessed being a top militant with Harkat-ul-Ansar and to having masterminded the Champnari slayings.
